I CALLED THE WEDNESDAY BEFORE VALETINES DAY AND ORDERED MY DAUGHTERS FAMILY A COOKIE BOUQUET. I LEAVE IN ANOTHER STATE SO I GAVE THE WOMAN MY DAUGHTERS CELL PHONE SO SHE COULD PICK THEM UP. THEY NEVER CALLED HER . I CALLED MY DAUGHTER AND SHE FINALLY WENT AND PICKED UP THE BOUQUET. FINDING THEM VER HATEFUL. THE LADY TOLD ME IT WAS A MIS COMMUNICATION, BUT I SPECIFICALLY GAVE HER THE INSTRUCTIONS ALONG WITH MY DAUGHTER CELL NUMBER. THEIR ATTITUDE WAS VERY UNBUSINESS LIKE. BAD NAME FOR COMPANY. I had phoned cookies by design and had spoken to Jon 4 times to explain how important it was have a tin of cookies ready for Tues. morning and explained why it was so important because my friend was returning to her home country. Tues morning got there and Stephanie took care of me but instead of a nice cookies by design I had to use a Rubbermaid storage container as a gift embarrassing ... I placed an order online on a Friday for a Monday delivery. I have been trying to get a hold of someone at the store and there is no answer....straight to voicemail. No mention of it being Cookies by Design...just a generic, "leave a message". I called customer service and they said they couldn't help. I have no idea what the status of my order is. I am not able to get a time frame for delivery. This is very poor customer service. Next time, I will go with Edible Arrangements who I have gone with in the past....I just wanted to change things... I ordered an "Under the Sea' cookie bouquet for my nephew's first birthday. The cookies arrive - 5 of the 7 were broken! So, instead of being the centerpiece the gift sat in his room in a box. They shipped them without bubble wrap just wrapped in cellophane. When I called, they said they had been having problems with shipping. They offered to send a replacement but the party was over and the cookies are more for looks than taste - they don't really taste that great. my son lives in arizona and the store that I have to deal with 2 years ago that i asked to call before delivering as it is 110 degrees refused saying that it did not have time to call therefore I cancelled the order. I decided this year to give another chance but all I got was a recording and since this was a special order I needed to speak to someone, I decided to call head office big mistake. They were delivered as promised and looked great. The decorated cookies were stale tasting and the frosting was hard. They would taste amazing if they were fresh. If this is your business how can you not have fresh stock? The chocolate chip cookies that came with it were awful. I threw them out. How can you mess up something as basic as chocolate cookies. I tried to figure out why they tasted so bad, but they didn't taste like anything actually, no flavor. The cost for 4 decorated cookies and 1 dozen chocolate cookies delivered was $75. Even... I ordered cookies today to be delivered to my husbands job. I wanted the lots of love basket, this came with cookies he likes. He comes home with his cookies. It was not what I ordered. It was literally 5 decorated cookies wrapped in plastic. The message I sent to my husband was written by someone else instead of typed up. Then to top it off the cookies are completely nasty.The baskets on line look way better. My cost was almost $70.00. I will never order from this company again. Very disappointed and a waste of money. I placed an order 2 days in advance, so that there would be no problems. Only to find out they did not deliver until after 4:15 p.m. I was incredibly disappointed that the cookies were delivered so late. I did not order the least expensive arrangement either. The person who was supposed to receive the cookies had left work at 4:00 p.m. When I called the store, they told me they were sorry, but that they deliver from 8 to 5 p.m. It just isn't exciting to get cookies on your way out of the office, just saying. First Easter 2014 sent cookie cake to my three grandsons they put the same name on all three when the order specificity stated 3 different names they sent gourmet cookies as an apology.So I forgave, then on Friday 8/29/14 called on my lunch hr to place an order fr the next day and waited over 20 min for a consultant had to get back to work so I hung up Tried again at home I was put on hold for over an 1hr at which time I then hung up and them tried the website when placing my order it would not except my promo code which you people e-mailed... I ordered a gift basket based on the photo with the "Same Day Delivery" logo next to the gift basket. When I called to follow up on the delivery of the basket, I was told that I had chosen "next day delivery" -- on a "same day" basket. I don't doubt the product - to me the cookies are very good, but I did not care for the customer service or the wordsmithing regarding the Same Day Delivery.
